"What’s one thing you could be incredibly grateful for right now, if you wanted to be grateful?"
The first thing that comes to my mind is that I am grateful to have learned how comforting it can be to be alone. The pandemic forced that onto me... I went from constantly socializing, hitting bars, going out, shopping, etc. to having two kids & quarantining/isolating in a new state - new home - alone (at that time).
It definitely threw me a HUGE curve ball; I had "friends" and then I didn't. I was used to interacting with adults, people my age, and then I had to learn how to interact with twin babies.
That shock in life taught me that I am capable of so much more if I dedicate time to myself. I am way more comfortable in my own skin & mind.
OBVIOUSLY, at the moment it was all happening I was hurt - depressed - working really hard to see the positive in it all, but it was the wake up call I needed & it led me to where I am now - mentally, physically, and emotionally.
I guess it's as simple as saying "I am grateful for being alone".
Even when we feel so alone - we never truly are. I am also grateful for the support of my immediate family - always a phone call away.
So remember... If you get knocked down - just get back up again & again & again, adapt & overcome. Don't get stuck - because there is SO much ahead of you.
