For the past 2 months the song "This is Halloween" has been stuck in my head - possibly due to the fact that my daughters like to have it on replay (most of the time)...
Now that it is halloween - How many of you use the holidays as an excuse to "splurge"?
I am sure the answer is way too many. What if I told you, there is no real need to do that. We do not have to deprive ourselves of the candy or meals or desserts.
We just have to understand what the phrase "everything in moderation" actually means...
So I'm going to quote back to an old blog post of mine as a refresher:
This phrase has been around for a REALLY long time - meaning don't binge, and don't abstain... find the in-between; it's about never giving up or fully giving in.
This phrase goes with everything though - like ...
would you rather:
• only be able to watch one movie for the rest of your life OR not be able to watch anything on a screen ?
• have to eat your favorite fruit with every single meal OR eat all your meals fried & dripping in oil ?
• be able to workout legs once a month OR have to run every single day ?
• go without shampoo for the rest of your life OR toothpaste for the rest of your life ?
maybe you have answers for these... maybe you don't.
The point is, that you shouldn't have to go to both extremes - you should be able to find that "in between".
