I am here to educate, inspire, motivate, and be there for you all - keep this in mind, because I say this as nicely as possible.
YES, it really does matter.
Incorporating daily movement (from resistance/strength training to yoga/walks), finding a balance with your meals, actually eating meals, focusing on your hydration, even sleeping well & managing your stress,
&& KNOW THIS:
its not just about exercising...
you can do all the workouts you want to do but IF you are...
not eating enough (following unsustainable diets)
not eating enough protein
consuming excess alcohol
have excessively elevated cortisol levels (stress)
have poor sleep
THEN you will not see the results you are expecting.
FUEL YOUR BODY
*consuming adequate nutrients (including protein) and incorporating strength training + additional movement days are crucial for increasing muscle & strength while promoting fat loss
Back to the - does it REALLY matter?
I mean - what life do you really want to live?
A life that is filled with processed foods & drinks, minimal movement, & calling "all nighters" a thing .. which could all contribute to the likelihood of depression, obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, certain cancers, heart disease, etc...
OR
A life where you tried your best to be the best, for yourself... for your kids, your family, whoever... A life where you can comfortably go for a walk or spend the day running after toddlers without being winded. A life where you go into the doctor & your blood work is a test you pass with flying colors.
It's not just about your appearance. It's about your well being.
We will die...
We might eat SUPER balanced, exercise (strength & cardio) 5x a week, hydrate daily, sleep 7+ hours, live a stress free life, avoid excessive alcohol consumption... and still die of some inhumane cause.
BUT hey ... choose the life you want to live.

REMINDER:
Go prioritize yourself:
Your physical health matters.
Your mental health matters.
Your emotional health matters.
YOU MATTER.
