I read... I try to read often - in the past I would breeze through books; now I read to wind down for bed and last maybe 10 pages (20-30 minutes) in before my eyes start shutting.


Funny thing is, I remember my mom mentioning how she would read to go to sleep & she loved reading... never understood that until now, moms get TIRED before we even know it.


Okay so back to reading; I am currently finishing up "Can't Hurt Me" by David Goggins - solid read; if you haven't checked it out just yet then go pick up a copy - David Goggins is the literal: the man, the myth, the legend. The way he pushes his mind, his body, everything is superhuman. It's uncommon.


However, my favorite part about the book are the challenges at the end of each chapter that require you to take that step forward to bettering yourself mentally.


The most recent one (spoiler alert for those who haven't read it - maybe not honestly) asks "what are you going to do differently to stand out?"... he talks about being "uncommon"


I wanted to share that; to be uncommon requires you to stay in constant pursuit and putting 100000000% (and some more) effort. Obstacles need to be in front of you.


Do NOT quit - stay disciplined - go all in - make it a lifetime pursuit.


Here is a snippet of my IG Story:


*remember what you surround yourself with will reflect on your daily life. - I woke up exhausted and ready to just stay in bed, but I have other plans.

I am in constant pursuit of what is in front of me.


& should be too.


I'm only 2 chapters away from completing it - but I will definitely refer back to those challenges throughout the course of my life... stay on track.
