Mindfulness builds on the concept of being present.
SO being mindful is a mental state of focused awareness to the present, acknowledgement of thoughts, feelings, and sensations without judgment.
Mindfulness is the practice of being mindful
I talk often about how parenting is definitely far from a walk in a park... maybe a walk through some train tracks that has wildlife crossing, butterflies flying around, and bullet trains coming at you at full speed, while there's rain & sunshine all mixed in.
I absolutely LOVE being a mom, I have learned SO MUCH & I am forever grateful for the opportunity to be here with my daughters.
& I only want to be better for them (apart for myself), because they deserve the best
So I was recommended a book called "Raising Good Humans" by Hunter Clarke-Fields, it is a mindful guide to breaking the cycle of reactive parenting and raising kind, confident kids.
Lately, it has felt like a switch went off somewhere in this house where we are just triggered by everything (& anything) - & we are reacting through aggression; losing our tempers.
I will keep you all updated on what this book works through but as of right now, my favorite thing is that it acknowledges how we have to work on ourselves to be fully there for our children.
We have to pretty much deal with our own childhood upbringings, and decipher that to then break away from it & do better.
This goes with all in life - be present, be mindful, and be better.

Go prioritize yourself:
Your physical health matters.
Your mental health matters.
Your emotional health matters.
YOU MATTER.
