I’ve had this pocket book on daily positive quotations for a LONG time -
In the past I only really browsed through the quotes, this is actually the first year that I am reading one page a day - & on the actual date written on the top of the page.
*definitely holding myself accountable - I keep it in PLAIN sight, in a spot I will ALWAYS look*
Many of the ones I have come across so far have been pretty good eye openers - bringing on “aha!” moments.
On Saturday I read this quote:
“Start by doing what’s necessary, then what’s possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.”
- St. Francis of Assisi
It's literally all about taking one step at a time, which can be more than enough.
There will always be things that we have to do daily; wake up - work - cook - clean. There will also be things that we get to do, because we enjoy it; host a party - read - paint - workout - watch a movie...
We obviously might experience some level of intimidation by the amount of work involved... that is totally normal (& understandable); my most recent concern was trying to finish EVERYTHING in 1 hour (during the girls nap)... until I had the "aha!" moment of doing things with the girls...
I was EXTREMELY hesitant at first, over thinking & worrying that I might snap ... lose my patience.
BUT hey... we are all a work in progress, & I am very self aware of how I do not want to "react" ... so I approached it with a different mindset - minimal expectations just putting one foot in front of the other. *plus... breathe in, breathe out*
& doing so has gotten me further than ever before.
So take this as your sign ... instead of thinking about how you can't possibly do something you want to do, just start doing what you can & see where it leads.
This transfers over to ANYTHING: your work place, your home environment, your health, your relationships, etc.
Go put your foot in front of the other. TAKE THAT STEP.

REMINDER:
Go prioritize yourself:
Your physical health matters.
Your mental health matters.
Your emotional health matters.
YOU MATTER.
